I would guess that it's not a low pressure load and at 1oz it's going to whack you.

I used it in 16 & 20 gauge guns years ago. Don't know about psi but they shot well and were equal in price to Rem and Win ammo. I actually preferred them to other brands, still have a box of 16's left.

Unless it was special ordered chambered for longer shells, a 1911 Flues 16-gauge would have started life chambered for 2 9/16-inch shells.
