Default Grouse hunting with my GH

Figure I would share my Parker and great day in the woods looking for birds. The dogs did better than I but was still able to harvest a woodcock. Looking forward to cooler days in Michigan and more days hunting for the king. The Parker is zero frame 16 gauge GH, and it’s an absolute dream to carry.

Beautiful gun, Andrew. Those 0 frame 16s just seem to fit in your hand perfectly, don’t they! What’s your gun choked?

Thanks for sharing the photo!

You’re welcome, and thank you. I’m sure the chokes aren’t original, (no chokes listed in my Parker letter). It’s choked skt1 and skt2 which is perfect for grouse and woodcock. It really does fit in the hand well, my favorite Parker to carry in the grouse woods.

Many light 16s are choked cylinder and modified which corresponds to your gun. Wow, what a gun.

Hmmm. Home is in troy, but have a place on the North Branch of the Au Sable. Are are you fly fisher? If so, next summer, we need to get you and brother Tatman together for a float trip in my river boat
