Default PP Article

I was looking through the new Parker Pages and read the article by Daniel Cotes. It was supposed to be about a display gun but hadn't been completed. I was puzzled by the description. It was reported as a circa 1873 gun but said the gun had a serial number in the 7xxxx range. Does anyone have any knowledge of the gun? I don't see how that is possible.

Incorrect date both in the article index and the heading of the article, should be 1893.

I do have knowledge of this gun, I have had it in my hands, looked it over and read the Parker letter. As Bill said it is from 1893, 1873 is incorrect.
