A (Sort of) Matched Pair of Parkers
Packing up for our season finale trip to Kansas, and I thought I would take what I've come to think of as my "matched pair" of Parkers.
The 20 gauge (bottom) is my go-to quail gun for prairie shooting. The top gun is a 16 gauge. Both have almost the same stock dimensions, 30 inch barrels, and both also have the medium full comb as per the research letter. Both are straight/splinter, two trigger guns. They are both from the same engraving period and display what looks to be the same engraver's work, or so says my 50-year art historian's eye.
I bought the 16 because of its striking similarity to my 20 gauge. It is pretty amazing to me that they are so similar and both handle so well (for me, at least).
Probably as close as I'll ever come to a matched pair of Parkers.

Garry, Thank you for sharing those two beauties my friend. I hope Elaine gets some more "action" pics for us. Be well.
