Babe, Lawrence and Chick Del Grego are no longer on the planet. Brian Dudley (BMD Gunstocks) or Brian Hunt (Firetower Doubles) may have current info as to how the remaining elements of their business is being handled.

Kevin,

You likely have more knowledge than I would as to what is going to become of the Delgrego operation/inventory. I never really any sort of relationship or communication with the Delgregos or their business. What would Brian Hunt have to do with anything? Just curious.

Brian, I thought you might have had some interactions with Lawrence in his final days re: methods, expertise, parts inventory, machinery or whatever. Brian Hunt stepped up and came into play along with a small select coterie of experienced local NY gunsmiths when it was established that Lawrence Del Grego would likely not survive his lethal form of cancer. As I understand it, Brian's role was more of a referral to these individuals and as a go between to Paige and Troy Del Grego regarding who would be willing to take on the remaining work in the Del Grego shop to complete inventoried jobs. Having done so, my interpretation of the aftermath is that the business as we knew it ceased to operate as of Chick's death on May 10, 2024, as no one I know has heard of any communication from the surviving family members since that date.

Well, you sure know a LOT more than I do. I know I get asked a lot about it by people, but I can say nothing but ‘who knows’.

Richard, I had a C grade that the ejector broke on two years ago. It was suggested that I take it to Turnbull. They repaired it quickly and I am very happy with the work.
