Two beauties -- bird and gun!

Nice bird! And the Trojan was a workhorse, structurally as good as any other grade Parker.

You gotta love those Labs. pick up the gun and they are ready to go again. Dry grasses are a bitch on dogs. I keep a tube of Mupirocin in the dog bag to soothe Muttley's face wounds. As to the thread about picking out cock quail, Len Bosdick in WV could do it. Also saw him drop 6 quail on a wild bird covey rise with his 16ga Ithaca, back in the 60s. Don Dobbs from Mich got a grouse triple with an 1148 28ga., that was mine at one time. Old time bird dog men were damn good shots. Not as many around today, both men and birds. Shoot Straight!

Take care of those Fox guns, Tom. Mine are working on the larger upland game that
make interesting noises at daybreak-in the Spring.
