Days in Kingsville
Things got a little crazy over in Kingsville past few days. Saturday the great John Dallas and I got into some heavy banded birds as I've already reported. Then sour weather on Sunday kinda slowed things down and John had to head back to Michigan that evening. Me and The Preacher stuck around for the Monday hunt and made up for lost time though, bagging another pair of double banded drakes and a double banded goose. Then that evening a friend and I made a run at the sturgeon and he caught one with a pit tag. Work called me back Tuesday but I was back across the river again on Wednesday morning and scored another double banded mallard and goose. I've killed quite a few banded birds in my life, three in one trip on two different occasions, but I don't think I'll ever top this. All my birds were killed with the ol' Preacher, my big magnum 10 gauge.
