Fred, "BH" would mean Jan. 1939 My 16 gauge skeet gun has two! WD= Aug 1935 and DF =Sept 1937 No repair codes. Maybe the gun left the factory twice?

Thanks Dave, I thought the SN suggested 1936. There is a vague mark ("P"?) a couple of spaces after the "BH". I had a lot of trouble getting the light right to see the marks; I don't think I can get a useful pic of it. How about that bright little "sun"; anyone else have one of those?
