Default First Indiscretion of 2023

I thought the first was going to be a 20 gauge Superposed but that deal has finalized yet . So the first will be , drum roll please ! A Trogan 12 gauge 2 barrel set . Gun has 26” and 30” barrels . The card I took a pic of was tied on the case . Gun does have a Miller trigger and the Hawkins pad .

The first two O/U’s I ever purchased were multi barrel set . The first a Franchi Trap Combo and the second a Browning Citori 4 barrel skeet set .

Just gave it the line cone test in the front yard . Safety works , Millertrigger is ok with right barrel first and is okay with left barrel first . No doubling

With the flat brass Galazan choke gauge I got mod in the right full in the left for the 30” and in the 26” set I got mod both barrels .

Edw. Tryon was a well known Philadelphia gun/sporting goods dealer pre WW-2. A great piece of history in your hands. Love the Miller selective trigger. The Miller brothers, another Pennsylvania memory of better times were legendary! I met Howard Miller in the late 70’s while live pigeon shooting. He was a diminutive man who, when I met him, was shooting a long barreled Winchester M21.

Tryon was a 'major/major' Parker dealer and distributor. When we copied the records for The Parker Story, one Tryon order ran for 11 pages in the Order Books. It could fairly be said they were the equivalent of an A & F in downtown Philadelphia. Interestingly, a fair number of 28 gauge Parkers went to Tryon's and to William Wagner & Son in downtown Washington, DC, that wound up on the Jersey and Maryland marshes in pursuit of railbirds.
