New gun show find.
Found an interesting Remington 1889,16 gauge, grade 2 with twist steel barrels.Interesting part, the barrels are 32 inchs long. They have a bit of orange peel in the bores, but I think shootable. Both barrels have .024 choke in them with .672 right bore and .675 left.I haven't measured wall thickness yet and believe them to be original. One tiny ding in right barrel which is easy fix.The action has a little play but not bad.I think this gun can be ready to hunt again this fall with just a little work. I have a friend that is eat up with the Remington double bug , think he has around forty of them . But I’m quite sure he doesn’t have a 16 hammer that has 32” barrels .
