Montana Grouse and Huns
I just spent a week out west hunting Sharpies and Huns, with a few dove thrown in for fun. I decided to take my Parker 20 and 28, neither of which had been fired in over 30 years, and I had never hunted with either. I had them both checked out and took a few practice shots at some clays in preparation. I did not have any expectation, as I was relatively unfamiliar with how either performed or how I would like shooting them.
Well, it was a magnificent week and I love these guns! I used one or both guns every day and pulled the triggers a lot! It took a while to get used to the double triggers, but I got past user error and killed many birds with each gun, and filled out my limit many days.
A few photos that may interest you with guns, dogs and friends.
Information on my Parkers, also shown on my introduction profile:
1926 Parker 20 gauge, 219441, DHE, grade 3, Titanic Steel, 28" barrel, frame size 0, barrel weight 3, 2 3/8" chambers. Capped pistol grip, LOP - 14 1/4", Drop at heel - 2 5/8", Weight 6.2. $154.50
1984-1989 Parker (Winchester) 28 gauge re-creation, made in Japan. East Alton, IL, 28-2460, DHE, 26" barrel, 00 frame, imp/mod. Original leather and cloth covered case.
Also have - 1937 Parker/ Remington 12 gauge - 237452, GHE, grade 2, Special Steel, 26" barrel, frame size 1.5, 3.11 barrell weight, imp/mod, capped pistol grip. $134
