Default 2022 Peoples Choice Awards-Damascus Drool

As in the past the Peoples Choice Awards will be held in conjunction with the PGCA annual meeting. This has been scheduled to be held in conjunction with the Northeast Side X Side Classic at Hausmann's Hidden Hollow June 2nd - 4th. The Peoples Choice Awards will be held at Traditions at the Glen Country Club on Friday June 3rd.

This years theme will be "DAMASCUS DROOL". In this case Damascus will include any barrel steel such as Twist or Laminate, basically anything other than fluid steel. Any grade, any gauge, any configuration. Please bring us your best Damascus guns so that the People may drool over those lovely patterns.

A tent card will be prepared for each gun on display containing the following:
*Number for voting purposes
*Model
*Gauge
*Year of manufacture
*One line for any bullet point you may want to add, just a few words please.

In order to enter your gun please email (randy@hsiagency.com) or send me a PM with the information as requested above. In an attempt to keep the displayer anonymous I am going to request that you contact me as noted above please vs replying through the public forum. Also please refrain from showing research letters, pictures or other items within your display that might disclose the owner. These items are welcome of course but please cover or black out owner information. After the Awards are completed I will post names on the forum of all who participated to recognize their efforts and support of the PGCA.

Tent cards will be prepared and I will have them available at the dinner. Doors open at 5:00 and I will be there prior to that time. I would like to have all entries on or before May 30 please to allow sufficient time to process cards and prepare. Please bring any items of interest surrounding your gun and or staging items to enhance your display. Attendees will have the opportunity to vote with the top 3 vote getters receiving a very nice trophy. I have personally seen this years version and can attest to the fact that they are very nice.

I am looking forward to some very nice guns this year as always. I urge you to participate and share your fine Parkers with other members. It is as simple as providing me the info and bringing your gun. Please do feel free to reach out to me if you should have any questions. Looking forward to seeing everyone once again. Thank you all for your continued support of the PGCA.

Sincerely:
Randy Roberts

Randy - My most humble apologies for not replying to your PM the other day.

Does the owner of a gun for the Peoples' Choice display need to be present at the meeting?

I have one that I would like to enter but I cannot attend this year.

Best, Dean

Dean that was actually an email I sent you, if you still have it take a peek at it please and respond. Concerning attendance at the Peoples Choice Awards you need not be present to win.

Ladies and Gentlemen it's last call time. The PGCA needs and is respectfully requesting your support by displaying your most precious damascus gun and allowing the other attendees to drool all over it at the upcoming annual meeting. If watching other members turn green with envy isn't enough then take a look at this hand turned bowl by our very own Master Wood Turner Mike McKinney. Mike's work is known throughout the civilized world and highly sought after. He has graciously donated his time and effort to create 3 magnificent specimens to be awarded at the 2022 Peoples Choice Awards to the top 3 vote getters. For mere mortals this is the closest they will ever get to one of these prized master pieces of the art world. I would suggest additional security if you are one of the lucky recipients. Don't delay, get in whilst there is still time. A simple PM or email can put this prize within reach.
