Default 20ga Trojan Ques

I have two questions which are probably researchable on the PGCA website but I’m (happily) stuck in hunting camp in northern New England with VERY slow internet speed and website searches are not working. Not even sure this message will go out. So I’m hoping someone could give me a quick answer to the questions.
A friend who is quite knowledgeable about shotguns called to tell me he has found a 20ga Trojan for sale and sent a picture (which won’t send with this message due to size). It is less than $2000 which means I can afford it and actually hunt with it as he states the action and barrels appear to be in good shape. Concerns are some oil impregnation on the wood back from the receiver. And the action is very slightly loosened up but definitely fixable in his opinion. Also, the trigger guard serial # is different than the rest of the parts which are consistent.
The two questions are:
1. The 2 serial #’s (trigger guard # and the barrel, receiver, forend #) are from the 1919 time period but are absent from my Parker book. Would a letter request possibly reveal additional info?
2. When I go look at this gun next week, other than identifying the info recommended on the technical page of our website and inspecting closely the condition of the firearm, is there any other concerns I should be aware of with 20 ga trojans from the 1919 era?
Headed to chase dogs and birds this morning so won't see replies until this evening. Very much appreciate any responses. I hunt with a 28 repro and a Parker 12 but still am VERY much a novice to this world.
