Frame size, anyone noticed this

I have several Parker guns ranging in frame size from 00 to #2 and I shot them all this weekend. For me, the ideal frame is the #1. I have 4 #1 frame guns and I like them better than the rest when shooting. The 00 and 0 frame guns bang up my fingers when shooting and the #2 frame guns are hard to get moving (I don’t have any #1 1/2 frame guns right now)so I shoot the #1 frame guns the best. I have 4, 2 in 16ga and 2 in 12ga.All 4 weigh within a half pound of each other from 6#12oz to 6#5oz and the they are easily my favorites for shooting.
Anyone else have similar experience?

I'm also a fan of 1 frame 16 ga. guns I had a 30" 16 ga. DHE that was 6 pounds 8 ounces, I regret having sold that gun.

My 28 is on an 0 frame and I like it and shoot it rather well . My 20’s and a couple of the 16’s are on 0 frames as well and I do very well with them . I’ve got a couple 1 frame 16’s I do very well with , matter of fact my usual go to sporting gun is a 16 1 frame 30” . For 12’s I’ve got a few 1 frame hammer and less , several 2 frames both hammer and less , as well as several 12 3 frame hammerless . In a 12 I think I like the 2 frame best and the 3 frame second however my hammer 12 1 frame is quite fun . I do very well with the 10’s on 3 and 4 frames . Surprisingly I do very well with my 7 frame 8 in spite of the almost 14 pounds . I don’t think I’m any different than anyone else , but I’ve shot a veritable boat load of different shotguns , so it doesn’t seem to affect me as much as some (meaning I shoot rqually good or bad how you care to look at it with any of them) but I’ve also shot at a couple tractor trailer loads of clay targets in my life in the various ways to waste money Typically when I go to the club for skeet/trap/5 stand I’ve got atleast four guns and I generally shoot a round with each . I could see a specific frame size or gun making a huge difference if they shot that one all the time , but in my own that’s not the case .

I shoot the 0 frame guns well, but after a couple of boxes of shells my finger gets sore and I start to flinch. On the 0 frame there is less distance between the triggers and when I shoot the rear trigger in bangs the knuckle on my trigger finger. There is enough room between the triggers on the 1 frame that they don’t bang my finger up.

I’ve never experienced that with any of those I have .

It may be a case of perception vs reality, but it's my understanding that the trigger guards are the same in all frame sizes. I do measure different spacing from back of the front trigger to the front of the rear trigger, on some of my 1 1/2 frame guns, but that comes down to curvature of the front trigger. However, I measure the same variation on a couple 0 framed guns also.
I no longer have any 2 frame guns, or larger, preferring lighter guns. I can't measure any difference in my only 00 gun to any of my 0 or 1 frame guns.
I'm pretty sure that actual trigger slots are the same.
It's surprising to see that Parker offered the articulated front trigger to anyone who wanted it, yet it rarely shows up on guns below A grades.

Are you feeling this across both capped and straight grip?

All of the guns are pistol grip. Last night I measured the gap between the front and rear triggers on 2 0 frame guns and 2 1 frame guns that I have. On my guns, the space between the triggers is narrower by 3/16” on the 0 vs the 1. You can see it in these pics.

As I said before, Parker only used one trigger bow, only differing behind the bow for straight stocks. Early lifters used a larger trigger guard.
Any variation between triggers comes down to trigger shape. Of 4 one frame guns, one rear trigger is quite far back, but the other three, both front and rear triggers, are very much the same. These three match, with less than an 1/8" difference, to the eight 0 frame guns I just measured. I also dug out my profile and contour gauge and find virtually all these guns to have the same trigger guard bows, the only difference being the curve behind the spur on the straight stock guns.
