With me, this will happen if I directly upload the photos from my phone without editing them.
If I edit them at all, even just crop them a hair, they will post upright. I dont know why.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again... crop your pictures even a little tiny bit, ant they will ALWAYS be upright.

Your phone should contain an edit function for your photos. Just use it to make them oriented correctly. You can also crop, lighten, etc. Then post.

I have done all those recommended things for edit/posting photos and sometimes the photo still goes onto the post wonky.

I think sometimes the rotation function disorients when the image is saved, cropped/edited whatever. One time on the Fox site I had to "box the compass" with 90-degree rotations until my image positioned correctly. Each time I toggled the direction I wanted to rotate the image, it came up in "Preview Post" position exactly opposite to what I had selected before uploading to the post! So I just kept flipping it until it came up correctly and saved only that one.
