Default Guns and floral engraving

The thread about letting the dogs out has been great. Many thanks to Josh for starting it and all who took part. I hope this also will be knowledgeable and appreciative. Maybe someone will take on a thread with birds.

That's a high serial number. How far away is that from the last gun made? Remington could sure turn out some nice stuff.

I don't think Remington had anything to do with the production of this gun. After the Remington buyout in 1934 the transitioning from Parker Bros. guns to Remington-built Parker guns occured around the 236XXX SN range. Last Remington manufactured guns are well up into the 242XXX range. Best specific info on all this is found in TPS.

You guys have better eyes than I do. I can't read the number on that gun. James hasn't told us whether it is a AA or an A-1. I've never seen a Parker with an engraving pattern like that. Is it factory engraving?
