I do not think that particular pad is original. As I am not sure if the anti-flinch was available as early as 1907.
But that pad could have been a replacement for a pad that was originally on the gun. A letter would likely tell you. Or if the pad is removed you would see the original screw holes from the ssbp if it was not originally fitted with a pad.

I'll be getting a letter. This is my third Parker shotgun. I now have VH from 1903 in 12ga. A grade 2 ,10ga hammer gun from 1884 in excellent condition. Took it skeet shooting last weekend, and now my DHE from 1907. It's fun to have a piece of history.

Looks like a flat rib gun. It may have an interesting letter.

A Parker with a flat rib is highly likely to have been ordered as a competition gun and therefor, likely to have also been ordered with a soft rubber pad.
