Default Gun won't open

I think I know the answer but I am wondering what would cause a Parker to not open when the lever is pushed to the right. I am guessing the mechanism the lever operates broke so that the locking lug is not moving when the lever is actuated. Lever is not feeling as spring loaded as it did but it does return but not fully. Oh well I was planning another trip to Larry DelGrego and Son in the coming months.

Pete,Could it be possible the top lever spring broke and is preventing the lever from moving far enough to retract the bolt?

Could be Dave, gun was operating normally and then would not open after being dry fired. Lever does not seem to return fully on it's own. It's a 101 years old so a spring reaching the end of it's service life would not be surprising.

After a 101 years it could be just plain build up of crud not allowing the bolt to retract. Eric
