So all grade 1 10 guage were NH and all the other grade 1 guages were PH? Is a grade 2 EH a 10 guage? ch

What you said is generally correct pertaining to hammerless guns. However, there are PH marked 10 gauge grade 1 hammerless guns, both in transition and later eras. There are also GH marked grade 2 hammerless guns in transition and later eras. There are also quite a number of mismarked guns and guns that may be described incorrectly in the stock books.

Bill is most correct. One of the more interesting mismarked guns I have seen was a NH 8 gauge.
