Most dealers who report "MWT" do not provide the more meaningful (to our digits) numbers. Although I only impersonate a metallurgist and ballistician on internet forums, I am at some risk of being mistaken for an "expert" by a personal injury lawyer, so always add the qualifier ![]()

i use to have a de carbonized steel barrels on a remington 12 ga i shot it a lot at doves and what ever never gave no problems even had several small pits in the barrel....i have a plain steel barrel on 2 ten ga guns and i shoot them with no problems..i think the plain steel parker barrels a remington decarbonized barrels are made ou of the same steel...the decarbonized steel is a pretty stout steel in strengh...charlie
