Default Annual meeting theme

The 2010 PGCA Annual meeting theme will be "Fishtail Top Lever Guns"

The banquet will again this year include "The People's Choice" display of Fishtail top lever Parker Guns. We will have a couple of new awards and are looking forward to an outstanding display. For those of you who havent seen these displays in past years, you have missed a Parker Gun spectacular! This year will be the best yet!

Please consider joining the PGCA banquet this year to share and view Fishtail top lever Parker guns. We are looking forward to your contributions.

Hi Josh,

Thanks! As well, I'd like to assist by:

1) I'm going to make this a "sticky" for a while in the forum, OK?

2) For you new collectors, you may wonder what a fishtail top lever actually is - and what one looks like? I've attached an image below for reference of what the heck a "fish-tail" lever looks like (sort of?)?? And until I get a better picture of one - will leave my picture in place for reference.

HOWEVER, please be assured and fear not. Since I have posted a picture of a prime example of my "fish-tail lever" as reference, it would be unfair of me to enter mine into the competition, so I will not enter this particular Parker....

Carry on....

John

(BTW - anyone have another picture of a fishtail so the newer folks know what they are?? If so - please feel free to post it - I have no idea how long the ADMIN will keep my reference picture up?

Though not nearly as rare as the fishtail toplever that Mr. Dunkle has submitted this is one the more commonly found variety of fishtail toplevers:

I would bring my pretty (once upon a time) GH 12 if I hadn't fallen on my brick walkway with it two years ago

Sure, I don't have one of those either, however, since John Dunkle clearly has the top hammerless fishtail lever gun, there is no sense in even trying to find one. Maybe I should just try to heat and bend the opening lever from one of my old beaters. Now if I could only find an expert on using torches on Parkers.......
