Mark,
Many members are away at the spring southern SxS shoot in South Carolina this weekend. I am sure you will get some comments on your V grade Parker soon. |

Mark, as Eric stated most of the hard core guys are at the Southern. It seems you know what you have, a 12 ga V grade in very used but not abused condition. It is one of the more common Parker configurations and with lots of them available will not command any big bucks. Yet, a nice, if common, Parker shooter. You can get a sense of value by looking at Guns International as I am sure you will find Parkers for sale there that are comparable to yours.

thank you for all the comments,i thought this was not allowed or something.or that i did not state it correctly. i usually shoot my fox DB ,when i go small game hunting, but i am looking forward to taking this Parker. looks a little nicer than my fox,but i do believe my fox was not used as much. i will list it ,when i get a chance. i inherited the fox from my grandfather,in fact he died with it in his hands. at the hunting club.....

Hello Mark , as said a lot of the guys are away this weekend and probably having too much fun to bother with the internet ! I looked your serial # up in the serialization book and it is not listed ,with that said if you go to our " Home Page " ,look on the left side of the page you will see a column go down the headings and click on "Research Letters " then on the page that pops up click the Red, "Serial # Search ,you will see that there is information for your gun ! If you decide to purchase a letter , the best and least expensive way to do so is Join the PGCA and your letter will only cost you $40.00 plus you will get four wonderful Parker Pages magazines and will have our Private section ,For Sale Want to Buy Etc. available to you on our site ! For accurate pricing you will need to show a few more pictures to make sure the barrels haven't been cut ,a picture of the Top Rib directly down on the Bead and a Picture of the end of the muzzles will tell alot ! Hello Mark , Just for the record ,how long are the barrels ? The blank space at the end of the bores is a Great indication the barrels have not been cut also the Barrel Keels are still in the end of the barrels , this is good news ! 30" Plus Barrels are in vogue these days which would add a bit of a premium to the value if 34" or longer quite a premium even with the front bead missing ! As stated a VH Grade is pretty common stuff and the gun needs a bit of attention ! Is the action tight and are the barrels tight on the gun when closed with the forend on and remain that way if you remove the forend ? This is all pertinent to the value !

Mark: I do hope you'll cherish that Fox and when the bell tolls, pass it down to your children or grand children. If you'd love to discuss it further, feel free to visit us at: http://forum.foxcollectors.com/viewf...b0dd60d4bc20f7 We love to hear tales of family guns and I'm betting the story behind this one is fascinating. ![]()
