Default Trojan 12 gauge barrel length

Did 12 gauge Trojans come in 26" barrel lengths? There is a project gun for sale and the barrels are 26".

Not many, but yes, they came with 26" barrels.

As originally introduced, the Trojan was offered with 28- or 30-inch barrels in 12-gauge and 28-inch barrels in 16- and 20-gauge. The option of 26-inch barrels in all three gauges was added after WW-I.

Sure did, I have a 12 ga with factory 26 in. choked .008 and .026. I picked up another set of barrels that are 28 in choked .035 in both barrels. This makes a great 2 barrel set for a work horse of a gun.

David

What is the serial number?

If it's in the book, you would know for sure that they are original

26" would be a "special order" for a 12g trojan. As they were cataloged as being available in 28" and 30". Not standard, or common, but they are out there. And just like '32 fords, there are also more out there then were actually made.

The Parker Story states on page 245 "Then, catalogues starting in 1926 offered 26-inch barrels in each of the three gauges." That said, I have a January 2, 1923, Parker Bros. catalogue that offers the 26-inch barrels for the Trojan --
