Default fishtail levers & left handed shooters

I am a left handed shooter with three Parkers. One is a 16GH on a 0 frame with a fishtail lever. Maybe I am just getting old, but the fishtail lever seems to break the gun open much easier for a left hander. Am I the only one that feels this way ?

Sounds like a choice gun you have there. Fishtail top levers are cool. My NH has one

I'm a South paw. I wouldn't mind if my next Parker Bros. had a fishtail lever.

If I ever come across a fish tail lever that isn't attached to a gun, I would seriously consider switching it out on one of parkers. The only completely original gun I have anyway is my Trojan. My DH is the perfect vintage to have had one.

Brian Dudley made a fishtail out of a straight lever on one of his project guns

it looked really good

just in case you have a few bucks burning a hole in your wallet

that being said- i really like them, especially on heavy guns with patterned barrels, I have two Parkers with them, and another i wish did.

I'm a lefty and have three 0 frame 16ga. hammer guns with fishtails. I agree, it seems there's more leverage. I have wicked bad arthritis in my hands, so, the fishtail is a plus.

oh yeah, I just remembered, I have a 12 ga. hammer with a fishtail also.

They can be made and i also have a number of original fishtail levers sitting in the parts bins.

The fishtail lever, in my opinion os more irgonomic for right handed shooters also. It reduces the amount of travel for your thumb.

Look like the cat's tail got caught in the screen door. Guess I'm just asking for it; I don't have one yet.

Do levers more or less drop in or do they require some fitting?
