My precious little 20 gauge Trojan was doubling and my heart sank. I took it apart and found a piece goop on the sear. Once the action was cleaned the little Parker marches on without a hiccup.

Thanks for the input Harry. It just started doing this while dove hunting this week-end. Never had a bit of trouble prior. I hope a good cleaning will fix it.
The past few months I have been squirting a little Rem Oil on the firing pins after shooting skeet. I wonder if that seeped into the trigger group mechanism and gunked it up? |

Oil in the firing pin holes is not good.

Thanks for the input Brian. Do you think this was a cause of the doubling?

No. I am just saying that putting oil down the firing pin holes is not good because it does nothing but go right into the wood and lead to eventual deterioration of the wood.
