Grouse season opened here in northern Idaho on August 30th, but today was my first chance to get out. Last year the local hatch was abysmal, so I didn't know what to expect. My yellow labs managed to put this one up for me, and my restored Trojan 20 gauge (
www.classiccasecolorsLLC.com) made short work of him. Hopefully this is an indication that there are some grouse around this year.
