Default Grand Blanc Side by Side Shoot

Any pictures or ramblings about the side by side shoot at Grand Blanc today? (Attached picture is of my first and only double on grouse, and it was done with my 20 gauge VH)

I was not able to make it to the shoot, I woke up to rain and had a bunch of family matters to take care of so I didn't make it. The day seemed to clear off so hopefully they had a great shoot. By the way Jason, love the setters..!

Paul Bladesmith, Steve, Ken H. (the Hammer), and I shot. Turnout was about 30 on a day in which we shot in a thick cloud of moisture. All was well. No photos from me... Bad light equals worse photos!

There was rumor that a well known SxS guy traded a few scatterguns for a bunch of other type guns on the tailgates of a couple of pickup trucks! Variety is the spice of life. A couple others went home with nice Parkers and LC Smiths that have come out of the safe to be loved once again. The world is once again in balance.

Mark

PS: Paul stated that the next shoot at the Lapeer Sportsmans Club in Attica Michigan is August 8th. He will confirm the date (may be the 15th...) and post in our Event subforum.

That well know SxS guy had about 15,000 SxS's in his truck, and Ken about the same number of pistols. Two hours latter I ask if anyone brought a gun TO SHOOT. Well, the trading finally stopped and we had a good time shooting. I did get to see some mighty fine Parkers change hands. Someone shot a 97/100 for the win. That was 25 skeet, 25 5-stand, and 50 SC's. I didn't fare so well.
