Default NH Turkey

Had a great hunt this morning with my 10ga NH. At first light we counldn't pinpoint the birds but after some quick moves and expert calling by 10 bore we had five birds heading our way. These birds climbed a steep bank of about 100yds, near vertical, to end up 15yds away. The 10ga NH did the rest. 30" damascus barrels choked full and full with 1 1/2 oz of 4's. The bird weighed 16lbs, with a 4 3/4" beard and 1/4" spurs. Should make a good roaster. Many thanks to 10 bore, he can really sweet talk these birds.

My guide works cheap. Egg Mcmuffin and a small coffee. I like that orientation better you'll have to show me how you did that.

Maybe that is why you missed the first bird, you had you head turned side ways.

Great job!........nothing like calling in a mature tom, smokin' him with a big 10 Parker and then breaking open the action to smell the burnt powder!
