Default old parker same family

I am trying to gather info on my family's Parker shotgun, after reading many posts I've determined that it appears to be a 12 gauge GHE grade 2 serial #87347circa1897damascus barrel and all serial #match seems to be good condition and hardly used. Bought by my great grandfather and kept in the closet .possibly a real gem!!started album for pics look under grubb gun.

Stephen,Parker Gun number 87347 is listed in the "Serialization Book" as a Grade 2 (G) damascus 12 gauge with 30" barrels and a capped pistol grip stock and no extras so I would believe the gun has extractors not ejectors. Pictures would be great. We love pictures....

Stephen, what a great family gun! If that gun has ever been apart it was certainly done by someone who knew what he was doing - those screws appear to be untouched. Great Grandad and subsequent users sure took great care of that one - you're very lucky.

Thank you!My three brothers and feel honored to have been left such a legacy.you see my father was shot down in vietnam in 66 and was POM-MIA for 8 years. My mom could teach us to fish but not hunt but every once in a while she would let us hold the guns and she would say"when your dad comes back then he will teach you to shoot.'' well, dad didn't make it back alive,He and my mom rest in Arlington and I know that they are smiling at me today now that I realize what a great peace of American history that they left for us.
