Default Acceptable Auction

Our Reseach Committee Chairman and I met at a Pennsylvania gun auction today and had a very nice visit. Some very nice guns were sold and our hero actually ended up taking one outrageous Parker home with him. Some nice double guns were sold as well as other guns that were not double guns. Congratulations to Chuck for picking up a real plum.

Redding Auctions in Gettysburg had a few Parkers. VHE 20ga had a few issues but sold for $2900, DHE 20ga sold for $9000 to a forum associate, SC SBT sold for $1650 (good gun), Fox CE 12 sold for $2800, and a VH restored 0 frame 16ga sold for $1300. I bought this gun and had to pinch myself to see if I was dreaming! Pictures attached.

Looks like an Oscar Gaddy restoration... do you know who did the case colors?

Dean,

I don't know who did the recase, all I know is that it's one of the nicest recolor jobs that I've seen. I usually don't like most of the recolors, there is too much straw and the patterns are blotshie (is that a word?) The watertable color pattern is the way original Parker colors looked. I was thinking maybe Turnbull? Do you have examples of Gaddy's casecolors?
