Default GH 20

Some of you fellows may remember back in early August Scott Fox sold an 20 Gauge GH Parker on our Forum ,I commented jokingly ,I always miss the good ones because I work evenings! Any way the guns first purchaser had a change of heart and Scott posted the gun again in the Morning and I missed it the second time ,again ,I commented how dissapointed I was that I missed the gun twice in less than a day ! Well the second buyer ended up returning the gun to Scott and I Finally ended up with it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well any ways , the gun needed a small repair and I got it done and again have the gun in hand ,it turned out fine and I am well pleased with it ,I sat down to check production figures for 20 Ga. G Grades with 26" Damascus Barrels and to my suprise ,the Parker Story shows " NONE " ???? Scott sent the Parker Letter with the gun when I bought it and the letter shows ,26" Damascus Barrels , Now I am wondering ,how many of the 20 Ga. Buyers on our Forum have a G Grade with 26" Damascus Barrels ! The Roll Stamping on mine is very thin but can still be made out with a magnifying glass ,if it were clearer ,I would post a Picture ! Just found the for sale thread and looked at the photos. What a nice gun! The wood really looks good.

Unfortunately there was a misprint in the GH-/GHE-Grade Damascus barrel 20-gauge colume in The Parker Story, page 279. Errata sheet Version 3, 6/6/01, shows 1 24", 145 26", 3 27", 244 28", 49 30", 1 31" and 3 32".

Dave ,Thank You for the info. ! I couldn't imagine this combination being that rare that there wouldn't be more of them ,but you just never know ,I never thought to check out the Errata Sheet ! Once upon a time ,I owned 106312 ,the only known 25" Barreled 28 Ga. D Grade !!!!!!! In a moment of weakness I used it as a trade for the 410 I had to have and couldn't afford without it !

Russ,
I had that sweet gun in my hands Thursday at Jerry's. Look under Parker restoration thread. It was sitting on his work bench with my GH 16 O frame and Lefever G 16. He did the barrels at the same time. I tried to sneak it out of his shop--told him you would never miss it. I took a picture of all 3 together. Like yours, the engraving on my GH is thin. Your 20 weighed about 3.5 ounces less than my 16, but had a little more DAH.
Congratulations on that gun!

Mills ,Thank You ,The wood really is nice ,when I received the gun ,I measured the BWT and the Minimal Wall thickness was if I remember correctly around 27 Thou. ,plenty good but both bores do have some pitting ! Jerry Andrews did the Barrels and they now ,also look very nice ,the wood I believe has all original finish with a tiny bit of touch up in one small area and some cleaning but overall very nice Grain and condition !
