Default Heel and Toe clips?

Were these ever an option on Parkers or any other classic shotgun? Saw some on a custom Fox the other day and they were great looking. Kind of a second cousin to a Skeleton Buttplate and pretty nicely done. Appreciate any input. Thanks

Quite common on English guns. Very smart looking too.
I would add that I see them more commonly on good quality bolt rifles.

I know one of the high grade Remingtons, either an EE-/EEO-grade or a Special has them, but I'm 3000 miles away from my DGJs and Charles Semmer's book.

Semmer's Remington book shows two 1894 Specials with engraved heel and toe plates. Pages 237 and 243.

Cheers

They were a factory option on Lefever Guns. Theirs were made of Horn.

The only known AHE Parker .410 has very nice heel and toe clips, but were probably made from the original skeleton buttplate when the stock was shortened.

Zowie, pretty nice. I have heel and toe clips on my William Evans game guns. The stocks are 15 3/4", but I don't have the heart to cut off the clips. I'm getting used to the long stocks.
