Default Help with my Grandfather's Parker

My Grandfather has asked me to get an idea of what his Parker is worth. According to the web site here it is an 1878 VH Vulcan Steel 12ga. Grade D. The SN# is 86189. It is in good shape with engravings all over the gun. It has one pointer on each side of the gun. Any ideas?? Thank you

Shaun,
Your grandfather’s guns serial number is missing from the serialization book but falls in the middle of a large batch of D3 guns. A good guess would be that the gun was sent back to Parker to have a set of fluid steel barrels fitted to replace the original Damascus barrels. Post some pics of the gun and someone will give you an idea what they think the gun is worth. You could also go onto a few of the websites that sell vintage doubles and compare your grandfathers gun to some online to get a value.
