Chris, thanks for the link. After studying the picture I believe only one set of barrels has an inscription (the farthest one).
There is another set here http://www.gunsamerica.com/977396663...BARREL_SET.htm In the main picture the 410 barrels are in the front with the splinter forend and has an inscription while the 28 ga barrels next to it does not appear to have one. Now I'm even more confused. I used to have a repro DHE 28ga two barrel set but don't remember if both barrels had inscriptions. |

Galazan .410 barrels are 28". They have no border engraved near the breach. The edge of the water table is not the same as a factory barrel. The rib has no blank field in the matting for inscription. There are no proof marks on the Galazan barrels.
All of these features can be easily altered to resemble a factory barrel except the matting. |

I have a factory set of 410 D grade repro barrels, they have the rib incription. The 28 sets do not have it on the rib but is stamped on the side of the barrels. Also the 410 sets have their own forends

David, one of my .410/28 sets has the inscriptions on the rib flat on the .410 and only on the barrel of the .28. All the white metal on the .410 barrels are engine turned, including the bottom flats that meet the water table and the whole rear face. Bill
