INTEREASTING GUNS TODAY.
I went and looked at some guns today that are being sold from an estate through a dealer. The first is a 10 gauge or possibly an 11. 12 gauge shell was loose and did not bring a 10 gauge shell or gauges. The S/N as I recall was
B 1532. Wood and metal pretty nice but barrels (Twist) pitted, and dented.
Another is a GH 12 gauge 30" Damascus hammerless 1 frame. Twin beads with a Fishtail lever. Screws are unturned and the stock although short ( 13" appears to be a special order, and uncut. Not listed in the book but I know it was a 73??? S/N. Water table has a D and a C marking and on the other side an A. I will be going back to look at this one again. I will take my Camera.
The last was a pretty nice Grade 1 top lever hammer gun. It is a two barrel set, one 30" the other is 25 1/2. S/N fails me but I believe it was made around 1884. No matting on the ribs Anyone know what the earlist 2 barrel set to be recorded would be? Barrels are twist, and no matting on the rib. Bores look pretty good.
The last was a non Parker it was a H&R 10 gauge Boxlock. It is marked Anson & Deeley on the water table. Pretty nice wood and a fair amount of engraving. Was not aware H&R imported thes SXS until today. What a brut.
