Default My New Fox

Recently I was fortunate to be able to acquire an exceptional Philly Fox 20 Gauge A Grade with 30" #4 weight barrels, in original condition. The gun weighs 6 Lbs, has great dimensions, is choked Mod/Full, and matches the card exactly. I am proud to be the caretaker of this gun.

That is one lovely gun. Use it with pride.

Love the silver/gray patina of the frame. I have little A 16 ga Philly Fox.
Nice score Steve

Very nice. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Mine is an ejector gun and was ordered "chamber for 2 3/4" shell" in 1920 for B.H. Dyas in Los Angeles. There is no visible weight mark on my barrels but my gun weighs 6 pounds 7.9 ounces, choked .031" in both barrels.

Wow Steve, that little gun will do it all! Does a guy really need anything else? I remember when all i wanted was a Sterly 20. It didn't come till later, along with too many others I don't really need. I long for the days of simplicity. Congratulations on a sweet little shooter!

You are a man after my own heart Chris. I've got a bundle of 20ga guns by many manufacturers but a 20ga Sterly, especially a 30" one, seems to be able to do it all. But a 30" 20 XE, well now that's a different animal.
