Hosford and co. barrel wall thickness gauge

Anyone have this gauge? and any info about its use and quality. Im thinking of buying one from Vintage doubles sight. Price is 535.00. Any better choices for this type of tool or better price availible for one? Thanks all Kenny Graft SXS ohio...(-:
