Damascus Rib Pattern
I always enjoy seeing the ribs of Damascus barrels when refinishing them. How the ribs were milled seems to have a big effect on the pattern that shows. Here is a 10g Dgrade I’m finishing up that has a bottom rib pattern that looks a bit like English laminate to me. Or was it just the way the rib was milled? Interested to hear any opinions.
