Tickets are now on sale for the 2019 PGCA Raffle Gun by contacting Ed Morgan, our Raffle Gun Chairman either by PM, email at morganedj@hotmail.com or by telephone 563-580-1623. Tickets are $5.00 each or a book of 6 for $25.00.
Ed will be mailing a book of 6 tickets to every PGCA Member probably soon after the Southern SXS. Ed can correct me on the mailing date if I'm wrong.
This year's Raffle Gun, Ser. No 229442 is a 12-Gauge GHE with original 26-inch Parker Special Steel barrels There are a few surface nicks on the barrels but there are no dents at all.
Unfortunately, there is no information in the PGCA archived data upon which to base a Research Letter.
The gun has strong, well timed ejectors and a Non-Automatic safety.
Right choke is about cylinder and Left choke tapers about 5" to about Skeet.
Buttstock is a very attractive American Black Walnut with plenty of figure appropriate to grade-2 Parkers of the era.
The forend wood is a replacement with grade-3 style checkering.
Screws are about perfect and remaining case color is about 20% - 25% fading to "patina".
All in all it is a very attractive and shootable GHE.
