Yes, Dean, that is what I was referring to. Low Pressure. I was told it also packs less of a recoil. Anyway, what I am looking for is Low Pressure. Do they use less powder? How is it less pressure?

Hoo Boy! Will be interested in this response.
Hopefully it doesn't take up 10 pages of a thread, and result in more confusion and ruffled feathers.http://www.doublegunshop.com/forums/...79eac9b674a13a |

Thanks, for the info. I am interested in the low pressure shells for the guns sake more so than my own. I have a 1924 VHE that I picked up a few months ago. Right now I am having it stripped cleaned and a new pad put on. I have not even fired it yet. The gun is a 1 frame, 12 GA with a straight stock, very light. Should give a pretty good wallop. Plan on using it for hunting pheasant.

William,
I have two #1 frame 12 gauges. If I am shooting sporting clays, a 7/8 oz load is about all I want out of those lite guns. If I were to shoot pheasant, I think RST's 1 oz of #5's or 6's at 1175 fps would be just about perfect. If I could afford it I would shoot nothing else than RST's. Their shells pattern better and recoil less than anything I can produce at home. Harry |

Thanks Harry. I will take your advice. I do have a dealer in my state that sells RST's and I will be sure to buy the load's that you recommend. Looking forward to taking my springer out and doing some shooting. All I hunt with is old doubles. When I get the gun back I will post some photos. Do your Parkers have straight stocks? I am assuming those are the one in your photo. Hard to see the stocks.
