Replacement of cocking mechanism

I am buying a 10 gauge DH which apparently is missing "the rod that holds the lever which makes the gun cock" (in the very words of my seller). How big a problem does this sound? How hard is it to get replacement parts? Any recommendations on gunsmiths?
