Yes, find a good gunsmith and I am sure it can be done, I have had several small dents removed from guns I bought and they didn't require any refinish work.

David:
The emphasis should be on "good." In other words, one familiar with double guns... not just black rifles. I don't believe even G&H would charge you more than $50 to take a small dent out.

the lucky part David is - you are more likely to find a good double gun gunsmith in the UK than here.

We have a few in a large country -you will likely find a few in a good sized city, and some of the old small town shops are great. take a look in the back of the Shooting Gazette or the Field, some of those dealers can do repairs themselves or recommend some one.

If you know someone that participates in a local shoot - or check with one of the shooting schools and get references

As a American, who local gunshop is a reseller of prepackage guns I don't want,
its very nice to come around a corner of shops over there and see a shop that has been in gun business for a century or two

Thanks Rick.
I am going to take it over to Atkin Grant and lang for the repair job as there only 15 miles from me as they do very good work.
All the best Dave.
