another choke question

Another choke question. My 16 vhe[remington] is choked" extra full and extra full". I am going to pattern it on paper,if it patterns as it is choked would I be doing any harm in having it opened up?The gun is clean ,perfect bores,traces of case colors,certainly not real fine but yet all there and excellant shooting condition.
