Trulock & Harris with Bird Counter
Hello Everyone,
I picked up this 10ga. Irish sxs this past week and had a chance to shoot it yesterday at a tower shoot. I saw it over the summer, and loved the bird counter in the stock, something that I had never seen before.
Initially, I wasn't really excited about getting another 10ga as I have a few, but hadn't shot them in a while. So I forgot about this gun. Then a few weeks ago I shot a 10ga. lifter on a sporting clays course and remembered how much fun they are. I bought this gun 2 days later!
It was made in 1897 with 30" fluid steel barrels choked F/F. It has ejectors and a single trigger(non-selective). Pretty advanced for 1897.
I reached out to a few members to help me with 1 1/4 loads. I ended up using 1 1/4oz. #6s with 23grns of Green Dot. This worked well and wasn't stressing the gun at all. I made some long shots. I shot this gun in the afternoon and got the counter up to 15 before it got dark.

The single trigger is an interesting option you don't find to often on guns from across the pond. What does your new 10 gauge weight?
