Default VH chokes

Would a letter show what choke's 12ga VH serial 199753 left the factory with?

More likely to show pellet strikes within a prescribed circle at a particular distance.

Sometimes the guns were ordered with specific chokes, that would be in the letter. If the pattern results would be shown in the photo of the records page, they would be included in the letter. The problem is on most pages the last line which has the pattern test results is either incomplete or cut off from the image. If the records would be available again to allow them to be photographed, chances are the pages could be set up better and all the data could be included.

Operative word… “if”.

I have ordered many letters for guns I have owned over many years.
Only about 1 in 5 had any mention of choke.

I'm not giving away any "State Secrets" here, so I'll include a few examples of what we have to work with in the factory records.

First photo is from the Order Book with specific a choke request.

Second photo is from the Stock Book where the choke patterning can be extrapolated from the entry.

Third photo is from the Order Book where the patterning is cut off from the image, which is how the majority of the pages are photographed.
