Default Anyone here get this yesterday?

I spotted an interesting gun yesterday morning on GI. It was listed by the Bass Pro shop in Kansas City, Missouri. I called at around 7am and found out that the store didn't open until 9am. I called at 9am and someone else was talking to the store salesman about the gun, so I was put on hold and eventually hung up after about 30 minutes. It appears to be a D grade Parker with an obvious stock repair, but for $579 it may have been a good deal. Here's a link to the listing. The gun has been sold. https://www.gunsinternational.com/gu...n_id=103034118

I grabbed that one. The salesman I was talking to had bought it along with some other shotguns at an estate sale the weekend before. It's a 1905 DHE #133503 . Obviously has had a stock repair, but the dealer described it as still being a very solid gun with clean bores and just honest wear for a 120 year old gun. He stated the black pistol grip cap had a rear piece broke off so I'll need to try and find one of those somewhere. For the money, I thought I would take my chances on it. I'll look it over and see if I can clean it up and do something a little more pleasing to the eye on that head repair. Maybe it will clean up and at least make a good hunting companion. What gets me is the weight he had it listed at (6.9 lbs). Curious if I may luck up and it be a smaller frame size. It looks to me like it may have a bit taller rib than my 2 frame guns, but it may just be the lighting. Not great pictures.

I took a chance on a DH one time that was listed on Gun Broker for around $500, accompanied by some very poor pictures. Turned out to be a gun ordered by Fred Kimble. The rest is history.
