Wednesday evening, as I'm taking my gun from the rack after finishing my last round, a fellow in the next squad to shoot walks up: "Is that your Ithaca?"
Me: "Actually it's a Parker."
Him. "A Parker? Really? I thought it was an Ithaca."
Me: "Parker SC, 1924." I hand it to him; a small crowd gathers. He looks it over, hefts it, mounts it and sights down the barrel.
Him: "Wow. Man that is NICE!"
A fellow in the crowd: "30" barrel?"
Me: "32."
Another: "I don't think I've ever seen one. Bet you can't miss with a gun like that."
Me: "Oh, I can."
