57 Primer in a 209 Size Hull Hack
As they say desperate times may call for desperate measures. Here is an old hack I have successfully used in the past when I found a deal or was given 57 or 157 size shotgun primers and I wanted to use them in more modern hulls. It's somewhat time consuming but if you have some 57 size primers gathering dust and you want to use them up during the Great Primer Shortage of 2020 it's very simple.
Simply cut small pieces of a plastic straw just a little shorter than the length of the primer. Slip them over the narrow end and carefully put them in the priming pocket of a single stage loader. They will be friction fit and I have never had one come loose.......yet lol.
I hope this can help someone here.
