Default Sad News For Big Bore Fans.....

Gunmaker Alan Myers, the UK guru of big bore shotguns has passed away at age 72. Just heard from a mutual friend a few minutes ago. Very sad news, there was nobody living that knew more about large bore shotguns / punt guns than Alan. He made some unreal fowling pieces over the years including multiple 2 bore single shot shoulder guns, a 4 gauge hammerless ejector, and countless others including a massive double barrel breech loading punt gun. He had what was likely the only 4 gauge loading presses in the world and supplied the only factory 4 gauge ammunition available anywhere.

The effort he put into his ammunition boxes alone was impressive , the ones ive seen looked period correct beside a vintage sxs .
