Dave,
Nice stick of wood. I am no expert by no means but most of the repro guns i've seen have the light colored wood which I personally do not like. Your's is an unsual piece to say the least. |

Derrick,I have agree with you on that one.The wood on both these guns are beautiful. I am a dark wood kinda guy...I looked for a while before I found one I liked.
Dave,What is that that you have in the trigger guard bow?

When I had the money to buy one I could not find one to my liking and spec's, DT, SF and PG. The DT is the hard part and I ended up spending the money on something else.

The "Super-Magnum" in the trigger guard bow is an 8-inch 12 gauge round that I got from Michael McIntosh (haha) Actually, it was given to me by a friend that worked at Winchester's Alton, IL shotshell plant. Its a dummied up round that is great to whip out on a pheasant trip when the birds a flushing wild and out of range.
I like the fiddle-back because it is so hard that you could hit it with a hammer and not dent it. |

Hardly as fine as Dave's wood, but unusual on a 10-22.

Here's my late-season-glove-wearing-cold-weather carry gun. A 28-ga. single trigger Repro with fiddleback. If you look closely, you can see a couple of the longitudinal grain threads in each side of the stock are fire-engine red in color. It seems that whenever Parker Repros are discussed on internet bulletin boards the "internet experts" warn others to stay away from ST Repros---this one has never missed a beat.

Greg,Very, very nice! Is it just my imagination or was the stock shield placed more forward on Repros than on original Parkers?
